Seezi Malazo

My name is Seezi Malazo is a 20 year old staying with a physical disability in Ntonto village Namuganga Sub County in Mukono district. Without legs and hands, I regret the time I went for work on that day yet I was being paid very  little money and sometime not paid.

I was a Causal painter so as I was painting a building, the metal bar fell and hit the naked electric wires which shock me and I found himself in a very critical condition in Mulago Hospital, and I could no longer feel my veins thus the doctors decided to cut off his legs and hands.

Now can’t move or hold without  help of my Mother or Siblings, I can’t bath, eat, wash clothes and I considers myself a curse and burden to the my family members.

My Mother Namutesi Esther is a single mother and finding it hard to care for the family, she depends on small scale  farming and finds it hard for her to even buy a wheel chair for me, my Father died when my Sibling I and were still very young.

It was Seezi who used to provide food for the family before he got the accident, Seezi’s Mother Namutesi Esther narrated. As the family we try so much not to make him bored because whenever he is alone we find him crying and regretting living in such a terrible situation at his young age.
