GIANT2022-11-11T13:08:24+00:00The 13 year, Nelson Okoth is an Ophan who lost his Father was also abandoned by his Mother and being raised up by his Grandmother.
Nelson fell from a tree and landed on a very sharp stick which pierced him and went through his anus living one of his intestines plugging outside through his stomach the pain was too much and unbearable for he is a little boy. He explains that his intestines shades blood which keeps him worried about his life.
Nelson just as any other child, he was un able to perform different tasks for example playing around with his fellow children, doing house work in fear that the intestine might get damaged or fall out completely. With a clear look at Nelson you can’t hesitate to thank God for protecting and keepping you alive. He was always seen with a piece of cloth craped at his stomach to locally protect him getting injuries and infections.
Nelson stool could passes out directly from his intestine. Nelson grandmother narrated his life it wasn’t easy to manage, she was jobless and yet she had to look after Nelson and other grand kids.
When she rushed to Nelson to hospital the doctors recommended that he needs to undergo an operation, and she can’t expect help from anyone apart from God to take her grandson for an intestine surgery.
In extra pain, little okoth lived in misery for four years and the club found them and redefined their lives. The Timely God Led Club has always been reaching out to this family, on a daily basis, traveling to deeper and relief villages to provide basic needs and family essentials like mattresses, beddings, clothes, food staff, etc.
Timely God Led Club led by Pastors Emmanuel and Brenda Binaisa through the well-wishers and partners managed to raise the money enough to pay for Okoth’s surgery and to cover all medical bills for a successful operation.
Through thick and thin, despite the un favorable conditions, Timely God Led Club moved with love and compassion to help this family. And by the grace and mercies of God, Okoth had successful operation that hence the intestine was brought back inside his body system, by professional surgeons. It’s now more than a half a year after a successful operation, and we glorify God for making it.
Currently, Okoth’s life is normal again, he can interact with friends and play around with the neighborhood unlike before, and he can also jump and run which he couldn’t do in the previous situation. He has also gone back to school after four years. Nelson’s grandmother Miss Namenda is also exited and feels so happy to see Okoth alive and kicking, after losing her Son, Okoth’s father, she appreciates the club for restoring hope.
