Being disabled shouldn’t be perceived or branded shameful or disgraceful. As a society we should help to fight the disability stigma therefore there is a need for us to reach out to the disabled people. There is great need for us to love them; to make them feel very much part of society because they have something offer.
Nassali Rebecca a 20 year old woman was born crippled and has lived a miserable life growing up with her elder sister Namuli Tezra in Lweza village Mukono district.
Despite the difficulty, Rebecca has got a great passion for the word of God and she’s seen reading her Bible and quoting the scriptures. Due to her physical disability, Rebecca cannot help herself to use the toilet and hence eases herself from where she is seated.
Her disability does not shake or eliminate her faith in God; she believes that in spite of the pain and discomfort she suffers here on earth, she will be free for the rest of her life in heaven.
Timely God Led Club has been reaching out to her and has managed to spread the love, provide home essentials like food, Bed sheets, Mattresses, Solar Radio, re-usable sanitary pads, soap among others. The club also noticed a major need of a house for has to live in, a wheel chair for transportation to the hospital in case of sickness, enough sanitary pads, medical treatment and monthly food provision.
