Nambale Denis

In our outreaches, we realized that many people are living a miserable and stressful life; everyone is a candidate to disability you can never know what tomorrow holds for you. Disability is unpredictable, it comes in any form, imagine you wake up one morning and find yourself in this critical condition.

Mr. Namable Denis is 43 years old resident of Bajjo in Mukono District who is bed ridden for over 29 years. He narrates his story in pain that during his primary seven (7) while on his way back home, he climbed a mongo tree to get mangoes at the age of 14 years, thus he fell down and broke his spinal cord.  He stays with his sister Namatovu Evelyn and two brothers who are drunkard but in the same single roomed house.

Nambale shared with us his experience of 29 years being bedridden sleeping on one side of his body which contributed to muscle imbalance and too much pain. He said that he does everything on the body like easing himself which causes the whole room to smell hence depression, undesirable mental state, isolation and self- pity from the care takers.

The club managed to restore hope that Denis had lost by preaching him the gospel of JESUS CHRIST and also to provide him the antibiotics to relieve his back pain, food, mattress, a radio to kill the boredom.
