Bishop Solomon Mukonjo

I greet you all sons and daughters of the most High God. I am Bishop Solomon Mukonjo, Fort Portal, Kyenjojo District, am 74 years old a leader and founder of (Church of God World Mission Kamwokya)

My father was Mr. Kabuururu Ezra from Kyenjojo District. At my tender age as I was growing, I saw many things happening in our village and I witnessed the changing of the worship culture from local gods to the one that was introduced by Canon Kivebulaya. When he visited Kyenjojo district, he was at distance from our village area.

When my dad heard of him, he called his brother to join him that they could go and meet this stranger and listen to what he was preaching. These two brothers moved 35 km from our area to where the crusade was, they paid attention to the teachings and finally got convinced and accepted to be baptized. They came back to our village, started preaching, planting churches in the area and my dad became a reverend in the Anglican Church.

In the year 1967, at the age of 17 I joined the Uganda police force and due to peer pressure, I started boozing, and doing all acts of a youth. A few years later, president Apollo Milton Obote waged war against the kings in Uganda; this was an act that led to his downfall hence rising up Idd Amin Dada who forced some of us into the army. During my stay and serving the police force at the age of 27, I gave my life to Jesus Christ.

I was imprisoned, preached the gospel and I turned several prisoners to God, some of them are currently pastors and 26 of them are Bishops. After prison, God sent me to Kamwokya where I started up a ministry and it’s where Pastor Binaisa Emmanuel joined me from as a young boy. He grew up in the church and started his ministry as Gentleman’s’ Band, his heart of giving grew day by day that he could even pay his tithe of the year in advance. During covid-19 pandemic, Pastor Binaisa and his wife Prophetess Brenda kept on surprising us by giving us food staffs.

The Timely God Led Club has really done a lot to change people’s lives by providing to the needy mainly the disabled persons. Therefore I strongly recommend the Timely God Led Club as a tested and proven club to trust in our society.
