Vincent Kezaala
GIANT2022-11-09T09:51:22+00:00Mr. Vincent Kezaala is a disabled elderly aged 77 years and currently staying in Kulubbi Katosi Village in Mukono District.
He has lived with physical disability since the age of three years that came as a result of local treatment after immunization from Polio. He has muscular atrophy in the upper limb and shoulder. This genetic disease progressively weakened his entire body muscles.
Vincent, was abandoned by his relatives and his biological children, he is discriminated by neighbors and also isolated because they think he is of no help to them. His poverty is associated to malnutrition, inadequate access to public health services, poor living conditions like lack of safe water that has led him to bad health conditions.
Mr. Vincent’s life gets worse every day, he has no home apart from a mud ram shackled house with no windows, ventilators and doors. He is living a miserable and stressful life. Imagine in the rain season, the rain hits him directly living him cold and sick. He has no mattress, no beddings and he is seen at night laying on the floor with polythene bags.
He has no body to assist him in daily activities such as cooking, bathing and dressing.
Mr. Vincent sacrificed his land to some individuals who, how in return were to construct a house for him, but they didn’t keep up their promises instead they just stole everything from him.
Despite his disability, he tries to dig for the neighbors to earn some food and once he fails to get food, he sleeps hungry.
The Club has been reaching out to him with household essentials like food, bread, soap, sugar, clothes to help him live a happy life and eradicate hunger.
His main challenge now is, one day as it rained heavily, he fell down while entering his house. In his situation, he calls out for medical attention to relieve the pain.
Mr. Vincent is also in great need of a good house for a stay and also housing utilities like a mattress, beddings, and utensils among others for a better life.
