To give girls and women in Mukono district the opportunity to take full part in education and realise their potential by:
- Improving personals hygiene and health of adolescent girls and women by availing sustainable, affordable sanitary protection.
- Removing barriers to education for girls in and out of school so that they can go to school.
- Improving the income- livelihood of women and men through provision of RUMPS making
Justification of the Trainings
Previously, adolescent girls and women especially people with special disabilities/ needs, have been supported with RUMPS during the clubs outreach programs. But this time we are looking at training and engaging different stake holders regardless of gender, empower them with skills on making reusable menstrual pads and knowledge to address issues of menstruation openly and to curb the cultural beliefs as well..
